The invitation letter is used to apply for a business visa (“M”visa) at Chinese embassy or consulate abroad. Under most circumstances, an invitation letter issued by the inviter in China can be accepted by the overseas Chinese embassy or consulate. However, for some special cases, the invitation letter issued y the inviter may not be enough, and the overseas Chinese embassy or consulate requires an official invitation letter issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in China.
